"I build worlds for small humans with big imaginations and for the grown-ups who miss what that felt like.”
Hi, I’m Theresa Finnelli, but I also commonly go by my handle ‘TeesaFinn’. I’m an illustrator and designer who likes turning small ideas into big, colorful worlds. When I'm ready to dive in, my sketchbook is always open and my headphones on. My art starts in the pages of my sketchbook before moving digital, where I clean it up and bring it to life.
My work has been described as whimsical and charming. I love creating expressive characters, using color to tell emotion, and building backgrounds that feel like you could walk right into them. I want my art to make people pause, to feel something real, even if it’s just for a second.
My illustrated persona features a tiny bandage on her forehead – It’s my quiet nod to how my own brain works: a little different, a little patched together, but always curious and resilient. My art is how I process the world – by noticing the details, finding patterns, and turning all of it into something playful!
I’m the kind of artist who asks a lot of questions (the good kind, I promise), needs quiet focus to do my best work, and will always notice the small things others miss. Once I understand what needs to be done, I run with it, no reminders needed.
When I’m not drawing, I’m training in martial arts, cooking something delicious, or tracking the weather because patterns are kind of my thing.
